Welcome to My Bird Conservation Site!

Greetings from my little corner of cyberspace!  My name is Chris Otahal and I have studied birds using riparian (creek-side) habitat along the lower stretch of Coyote Creek where it enters the southern end of San Francisco Bay, California, United States. These studies were initiated by the Coyote Creek Riparian Station and are continued by the San Francisco Bay Bird Observatory. I have since moved on to work for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (implementing the Endangered Species Act) but  thought some of you may be interested in this AVIAN RESEARCH.  also offer  e-card and e-mail services on my FREE MAIL PAGE.  From June 2002 through August 2005 all proceeds went  to Friends of Calakmul to preserve land in Mexico.  However, as of September 2005, this project has expanded its area of focus to include rainforests around the world.  Now all proceeds go to The Nature Conservancy's Adopt-an-Acre Program to facilitate this mission.  Click here to see what we have done progress!  This part of the site has been discontinued due to a lack of sponsors as of July 20, 2008.  However, if you feel inspired and would like to contribute towards protecting bird habitat, please check out the FREE DONATION PAGE where you can help save wildlife habitat with a simple click or two of your mouse.

Thanks for stopping by and please come back soon!
